The Interpretation of Dreams

The meaning of dreams, to the extent that they can have meaning at all, is not to be found in so-called “dream dictionaries” written by other people, but in your own subjective experiences, feelings, thoughts, and associations.  The question is not what the object, action, or person in your dream “means” in some general sense, but what it means to you. What do you associate with it? What feelings? What thoughts? What memories? These are the questions to ask when exploring the content of your dreams and its relation to your waking experience.
