The process of “getting over” someone cannot be forced. Try as we might, it will happen at its own pace.
Simply allow yourself to feel what you need to; your body has its own internal wisdom that will guide you to where you need to go emotionally.
Look to the sources of happiness in your life, your friends, your family, your treasured things and music and movies, to sustain you along the way. With time, you will be okay. The feelings of loss and dependence will subside and a sense of wholeness will return.
