When I was at a Dj Tiesto rave in 2009, I remember walking around the Bell Center and suddenly being struck by an epiphany. “Everyone, no matter how fat or thin, muscular or flabby, comely or not, is absolutely beautiful in their own unique way just as they are. Look at all of these people. You can see their insecurity about their appearance in their eyes.
And yet, how beautiful they are… for they are alive, and breathing, beautiful living expressions of the universe and the biosphere of planet Earth. Why do we forget this? Why do we feel ugly, not good enough, that we fall short? Why do we torture ourselves? We are gorgeous and good enough, every one of us.”
