Fears Are Not Walls, But Doors

We often assume our fears are walls that block our progress forward,
But if we look closely, we find that they are not walls, but doors–
If we move through them, they take us into deeper lives, freer lives,
Lives that transcend them.
Our fears are like buses or subways;
If we climb aboard them,
They take us past themselves.
