These Feelings That I Can’t Express – A Poem

By Adam J. Pearson

There is a great and golden line
That connects your heart to mine
And when you’re gone,
It tugs and it tugs.

There is feeling bold, unseen
That rises up so rich and clean,
And when you’re here,
It blooms and it blooms.

There’s a spark of sharp electric power
That flashes like a violet flower
When I hold you and
We’re close and we’re close.

There is a void within my heart
That widens when we are apart
And calls to you–
And yearns and it yearns.

All time with you is like a dream
It flows by faster than it seems,
And suddenly,
It’s gone and it’s gone.

And in your soft and sultry kiss,
There are a thousand things I miss,
They hit me and
I melt and I melt.

I feel things that I can’t express,
These feelings that I can’t repress,
But just like streams,
They flow and they flow.

There is a mystery between
Our hearts that’s charged like a machine,
And powerfully,
It roars and it roars.

There is a great and golden line
That connects your heart to mine
And when you’re gone,
It pulls and it pulls.
