Adam Pearson has been many things. Licensed high school teacher. Psychology student, coach, and amateur researcher. World traveler. Culinary school graduate and certified Chef. Mystic and student of Zen, Sufism, and Advaita Vedanta. Philosopher. Poet. Non-fiction writer. Joker. Liberal Arts aficionado. Friend. Son. Brother. Lover. Martial artist. Guitarist. Painter. Electronic music producer. Clumsy and enthusiastic dancer. Petter of cats. Hugger of dogs.

The views expressed in these poems and articles collectively constitute an evolving tapestry of shifting perspectives shaped by ongoing experience; none can be taken as ‘final.’ They speak on multiple levels; some respond to relative human needs and others point beyond the relative to the Absolute dimension. These articles are Robert Anton Wilsonian reality tunnels, views of the whole. They do not seek to offer a unified Hegelian System; they are more like the fragments of Kierkegaard or the ramblings of a wild-eyed Zarathustra.

Because they are parts of an evolving, ongoing process spanning over 7 years and counting, some of these blogs may indeed contradict themselves.  However, as Walt Whitman famously wrote: “Do I contradict myself? Very well, then I contradict myself, I am large, I contain multitudes.” Over time, the author hopes, many of these apparent contradictions will resolve themselves in integrative syntheses and a cohesive worldview will rise from the rubble of the limiting partial truths that once stood where it now stands.

Just email me the text and links that you want at the beginning and/or ending of each post. If you know html you can send me that. If not, just send me the text and a link to your site. It should be around 200 characters or less (not including links).

  3. Greetings from Florida, USA.

“…he decided to engage with reality directly without mediation from religious beliefs.”

lovely! as a seeker, I would add somehow engaging with love through the present moment. I too have experienced many forms of “religious” connection through ritualized experiences. Today, I know every moment is here form me to be with. To take pleasure in, to learn from and most importantly for me, to honor.

Like many, I have all been through “stuff”. Our lessons are many, yet the knowing of compassion it at the center of all. I continue to seek a peaceful path, give love abundantly and accept all that is set before me.

Thank you for your courage to speak in this world of unrest. I send prayers of gratitude in support of a man working to change the world, gesture by gesture.

    Blessings, Florence

  8. Yourself says:

I love the posts about Non-Duality. They first really challenged “me” because they exposed some holding onto concepts, spiritual ones.
For example, Awareness as an object, instead of that which is beyond objectivity. It had become something “me” was holding onto as “my awareness” and therefore something to protect at all costs because it had finally brought “me” peace to realize The Truth.
Your writings are very clear and direct. Thank “You“ Self.

Adam, I came across your article, The 6 Domains of Macro Social Work Practice, and found your discussion really helpful. I’d like to share the article with my colleagues and properly cite and quote you, but am wondering if you have any additional credentials I should include.

    1. Hi Jill, I’m glad you found the article helpful. For credentials, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, graduate of the McGill University School of Social Work. I work with low-income geriatric clients with a wide-variety of challenges (e.g. cancer, dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, various mental health diagnoses, etc.) as well as with younger people with physical disabilities (e.g. Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s, etc). My Agency is a publicly-funded community health clinic and I work in the contexts of homecare and hospital care (e.g. coordinating hospital discharges). I work on a multidisciplinary team with doctors, occupational therapists, nurses, physiotherapists, and nutritionists.
